Chapter 10, Page 25, Book 16

It’s one door swinging open and one door swinging closed

Some prayers find an answer

Some prayers never know

We’re holding on and letting go

October 25th - to hold on or to let go

Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.

Hermann Hesse

So many of the hard decisions and challenging moments in life boil down to holding on and letting go.There are many things in life that it is good to hold on to.  It’s good to hold on to your faith.  It’s good to hold on to those you love, but there are many things in life that it’s best to let go of.

When you let go, you allow yourself to make the best of what you’ve got.  We appreciate life in the present for everything that it is, and then make the very best of it.

All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.

Havelock Ellis

Holding on is like wanting to control the uncontrollable.  Letting go and allowing uncontrollable things to happen, on the other hand, means these things will take care of themselves naturally, and your needs can also be better met in the process.

When you let go, you free your mind from needless worries.  Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in the possibilities.

Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.

Oprah Winfrey

When you let go, you live more gratefully. We learn to be grateful for the experiences that made us laugh, made us cry, and helped us to learn and grow.  It’s the acceptance of everything we have, everything we once had, and the possibilities that are appearing over the horizon.

Change isn’t bad.  It just makes life different than you expected, and it could be a good thing in the long run if you embrace it and see the opportunities it provides.

Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.

Glad the tea was soothing on a tough day. I am slowly letting go of that which has crippled us for a bit. I realize it is time to truly turn it over to God and allow him to work.

You tackle a tough situation. Hold on or turn loose. There are times we do get them confused and hold on to the 'heart hurtful' moments. But the smart human realizes it soon and starts letting go.
Hard decision at times that is for sure. I am a BIG green tea drinker. Hope it works. LOL
