Chapter 10, Page 10, Book 16

The morns are meeker than they were,

The nuts are getting brown;

The berry's cheek is plumper,

the rose is out of town. . .

The Maple wears a gayer scarf,

The field a scarlet gown,

Lest I should be old fashioned,

I'll put a trinket on.

Emily Dickinson

October 10th - Love

Love keeps the cold out better than a cloak. It serves for food and raiment.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

We are experiencing some cooler fall days here and that means we get out the sweaters and the jackets to keep warm.  Funny how just a couple of days ago, we were in the 80’s and hot. The temps can go up and down quickly for us this time of year.   It’s almost like summer hates to let go.

The winds that blew in the cooler weather also blew a lot of leaves out of the trees.  The beginning of leaf raking season has begun and will go on till sometime in November.  Sometimes the snow makes us stop before all the leaves are raked, but I always hope the snow waits till December 25th.

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and in reach of every hand.

Mother Teresa

The cooler weather has also reminded me that no matter what the weather is, love is always fashionable.  Something that never goes out of style.  As it will always, in some way, elude us.  It is never out of style, but is as contemporary and trendy as the latest fashion. Love goes with any color any season any wearer.

Love is the force that puts the world back together when it feels like it’s coming apart. It provides a sense of contentment and gratitude deep in our hearts and is the voice that tells us, Everything will be okay.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which ties everything together in unity.

Colossians 3:14

hi, just catching up this morning. I've been wrapped up in watching Matthew these past few days. Not much love spread around on TV these days either. Love your little doodles.

My grandson and his wife and two small children came up from Florida last Thursday getting away from the hurricane and they raked the leafs and pine straw up for me he trimmed some trees and blew the straw off the house. Now if they would come more often. (Smile) it has been a little cooler here, but we still need the air on.
