Chapter 7, Page 3, Book 16

Life is like a road. You never know where it's going to take you and there's no road map. You never know who's going along with you or at what point they'll decide to take a different route. The only thing you know for sure is that's it's bound to be an adventure and you don't want to miss a single moment of the journey.

July 3rd -  Slow down. Look at the road that is your life

What is more beautiful
than a road?  It is the
symbol and the image of an
active, varied life.

George Sand

The older I get, the more I am making peace with the fact that life is The Long and Winding Road. It is best evaluated when we take a long view looking back at how far we've come.

We do ourselves a favor when we quit expecting that the road will be toll free or predictable. I've come to accept the fact that there are blind curves and unexpected detours.

Life is like a road trip. We may appreciate the smooth stretches, but the bumps in the road are what truly make the journey memorable.

Author Unknown

Just like life, you’re always going to find new things and you’re always going to experience something new throughout life. And you can always stop and relax along the way. A road trip always requires a stop and then you meet new people and develop new relationships.

Life's like a road that you travel on When there's one day here and the next day gone Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand Sometimes you turn your back.

Things happen on the road that can make driving difficult, even unenjoyable. This is true in life as well. Even though there can be plenty of smooth sailing, we all eventually hit a bump in the road, then another one soon after. Life is never perfect, so maybe we shouldn’t expect it to be.

The only way we can proceed down the road of life is if we get over the bumps.

Remember:

A bend in the road is not the end of the road... unless you fail to make the turn.

So true about life being compared to a road or a road trip. There will always be bumps in the roads along with smooth traveling; just have to remember to trust God to lead us down the right paths :)

You got me on this, I have never read nor heard it, but I will remember it for the rest of my life:
A bend in the road is not the end of the road... unless you fail to make the turn.
end quote..

Now the one statement about bumps and memories is absolutely true. We have traveled over a million miles and the most memorable trips were the ones with 'bumps'. (bumps of all sorts, LOL)

GOOD ONE GIRL!

I like this a lot!
That quote that Jack just excerpted reminded me of the switchback narrow trail I drove up South Mountain last Tuesday. Exhilarating, but something that requires total focus -- not unlike our own lives.

This spoke to me in so many ways, "Life is like a road. You never know where it's going to take you and there's no road map. You never know who's going along with you or at what point they'll decide to take a different route. The only thing you know for sure is that's it's bound to be an adventure" HAPPY 4th of JULY.

I love the road as a metaphor for life.
