Chapter 7, Page 16, Book 16

Gratitude takes three forms: a feeling in the heart, an expression in words, and a giving in return.

July 16th - Counting Your Blessings Can Improve Your Life

There is so much to rejoice in. There are so many blessings to thank the Lord for.   Focusing on your blessings instead of what you do not have can bring real health benefits. Fixing our hearts on our blessings can bring unity more effectively than looking for trouble.

Gratitude can help you sleep better.  Gratitude helps you put things in their proper perspective

It is impossible to be negative while we are giving thanks.

Donald Curtis

Gratitude can decrease stress and anxiety. Taking a moment to count your blessings during an upsetting event is a way to shift your mindset from negative to a positive.  Instead of focusing on what went wrong, you focus on what you learned from the experience. Grateful people report fewer symptoms of illness and are less bothered by aches and pains.

Counting your blessings is not just about adopting an attitude of gratitude; it’s about making great things happen in your life. Being thankful tends to open our eyes to the good in the world, which in turn, has the power to encourage and inspire us. Gratitude brings us back into the present moment quickly and easily,

Seeds of discouragement will not grow in the thankful heart.

Anonymous

Looking for things to be grateful for, you begin to appreciate simple pleasures and things that you previously took for granted.

Count yours blessings instead of adding up your troubles. There is always something to be thankful for!

When you look at life through the eyes of gratitude, the world becomes a magical and amazing place.

It is good advice to count our blessings especially during a stressful time of our lives or a stressful event. Even then we have an abundance of blessings, like a house to live in, clothes to wear, food to eat, etc. Living a life of gratitude is indeed a good thing!

True that!
I like the idea of choosing to focus on what I've learned from any experience.

I always say thank you. It's important. "Gratitude helps you put things in their proper perspective." ALWAYS.
