Chapter 7, Page 11, Book 16

Every day is  a gift. What happens next is up to you. You can cherish every second that you’re given or let time slip between your fingers. You can live every day with gusto and make every moment matter or you can be fearful and worry about what tomorrow will bring. You can reach out and make a difference in someone’s life or focus on more ways to better your own. You can pursue new ways to grow as a person or wait to see if the world stops changing. You can reach for things that’ll make you happy or you can be content with what you already have. You can drift along from dawn to dusk or live life like there’s no tomorrow. … Before you know it, the seconds become minutes, the minutes become hours, and the day disappears into the night. Yesterday is a memory — a place you can visit only in your dreams. And remember, no matter how hard you try, you can never get your minutes back. Those minutes are gone forever. Tomorrow is a new day.

July 11th - Wake Up to the Gift of 24 Hours

Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons.

If we think of everyday as a gift waiting to be unwrapped, we can not help but be excited about it.   Each day is a new opportunity, it will be filled with things we cannot anticipate or even prepare for.

We can begin each new day with a new attitude. No matter what happens or how our days might start off, remember that it is a new day and it is good! It is good to wake up to new mercies every morning. It is good to be alive. It is good to have within our power the choice to make today a better day.
There is a big danger, when our lives get routine, that we forget how really precious each new day is. We all find it so difficult to live in the present moment. Our minds are so often cluttered with the thoughts and anxieties of the past or future that we find ourselves existing and not really living.

At the end of the day, whether you choose to go with it, flow with it, resist it, change it, or hide from it, life goes on.  If what you did today didn’t turn out as you hoped, tomorrow is a new opportunity to do it differently, or to do nothing at all.  What’s important is to realize that you have a choice.

Remember, everyday is a gift. Hold it, unwrap it, cherish it, and most of all use it!

LOL with what Jack said. Just slow start this morning :)

I like the thought that if the day didn't go as planned, most of us have the opportunity to try again tomorrow. It is so true though that each day is a gift and something we need to treasure highly.
