Chapter 6, Page 1, Book 16

Food for thought...

The most destructive habit is worry.
The greatest joy is giving.
The greatest loss is that of self respect.
The most satisfying work is helping others.
The most endangered species are dedicated leaders.
Our greatest natural resources are our young people.
The greatest boost we can get is encouragement.
The greatest problem to overcome is fear.
The most effective sleeping pill is peace of mind.
The most crippling parasites to progress are excuses.
The most powerful force in life is love.
The greatest soother and comforter is prayer.
The most dangerous pariah is a gossiper.
The world's most incredible computer is our brain.
The worst thing to be without is hope.
The deadliest weapon is a sharp tongue.
The two most powerful words are 'I can'.
Our greatest asset is faith.
The most worthless emotion is self pity.
The most beautiful attire is a smile.
The most appreciated word is 'Thanks'.
The most contagious spirit is enthusiasm.
To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.
Be yourself, be proud of who you are and let your light shine.
Don't let anyone take away your something special and live life as full as you can today because we have no idea what tomorrow might bring.

June 1st - Think about it

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

 Eleanor Roosevelt

The list above does give us food for thought.  They are all good things to remember and that too often we forget.  Our thoughts often determine our future.   It is often said that our thoughts shape our reality, and that what we think, we become.

Never be afraid to sit awhile and think.

Lorraine Hansberry

We also have the ability to choose what we think about and those thoughts do make a difference. It’s our life and it’s our choice.  If I choose to think about all the good things and remember them, then I’ll be doing what it takes to create a good life.

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.

Wayne Dyer

Every one of us has a picture in our head of what we’d like our life to look like. While it may be different for every person, each of us possesses some kind of a mental image of our ideal life.

Sometimes it’s a tough pill to swallow, but we are exactly where we are at this moment in our life because we chose to be here

Invest a few moments in thinking. It will pay good interest.

That is true about worry being a destructive habit. It doesn't help in any way. Thinking positively is a better habit to have instead.

Worry is one of the hardest things to explain to us humans. Somehow we feel the worry will fix something, we realize after awhile it won't. But in truth, it is hard for me to not start all over again. I have about a 50% success rate of switching the worry to positive thoughts, but I am getting better. LOL
Good post as always!

Worry is something I'm doing alot of lately. trying to keep it positive though. But it's hard. the main thing for me is after many decades on this planet I've learned it's ok to "be yourself."
