Chapter 5, Page 31, Book 16

Some days are better, some days are worse. Look for the blessing instead of the curse. Be positive, stay strong, and get enough rest. You can’t do it all, but you can do your best.

May 31st - expecting the worse and receiving the best

Never bear more than one kind of trouble at a time. Some people bear three kinds; all they have had, all they have now, and all they expect to have.

Edward Everett Hale

Sometimes when you’ve had a long series of disappointing things happen, you can get into the very bad habit of just expecting more of what you’ve already had.

I’ve learned that things don’t always turn out the way we plan them, but sometimes it is for the best.  It’s always a joy when something unexpected happens that makes us happy.

This is the precept by which I have lived: Prepare for the worst; expect the best; and take what comes.

Robert E. Speer

I like that quote about life comparing it to a book; that is so true, we do have to turn the page to see what lies ahead in it.

That opening quote really touches my heart today. "Some days are better, some days are worse. Look for the blessing instead of the curse. Be positive, stay strong, and get enough rest. You can’t do it all, but you can do your best."
