Chapter 1, Page 5, Book 16

Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all that life really means.

Robert Louis Stevenson

January 5 - choose sweetness

Given a choice, I think we’d all choose to live the sweet life instead of a bitter life.  We all experience tears, joys, setbacks and victories, but what really makes the difference, is the flavor that we add to whatever we are experiencing. Good or bad, moment by moment, it is what we add that changes the resulting experience.

If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.

Eleanor Roosevelt

We need to flavor our lives with optimism and joy and savor the flavor of every moment.  It’s our choice.

Influence, just like salt shaken out, is hard to see, but its flavor is hard to miss.

Pam Farrel

Here’s to you having a very sweet and flavorful day!

How sweet it is!

So true how we are in control of the flavor of our lives; not necessarily the circumstances, but how we relate to them. Kind of like getting to go and get frozen yogurt and being able to choose your topics; same thing with our life with the flavorings we decide to live with.

WE head back to the road today. I love the feel, I will have a happy day. Yeah I prefer the sweet-life but we can handle the blow-outs too, because we know they do not last. I think the sweet out weighs the bitter by tons.
WE are cool for Florida, but the sun will come out and heat us up to short sleeve weather by noon!

Not the day I would pick -- not so fun medical appointment this morning, but I'm grateful for the opportunity for good medical care. Enjoying my blog visits tonight. Have a terrific Tuesday evening.
