Chapter 11, Page 6, Book 15

FRIENDS FOREVER NEAR

As we walk along our path of life,
We meet people every day,
Most are simply met by chance,
But some are sent our way.

These become the special friends
Whose bond we can’t explain,
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries,
So even when apart,
Their presence still embraces us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway
Where even the miles disappear,
And the special friends life sends our way
Remain forever near.

November 6th - love remains

Absence diminishes little passions and increases great ones, as wind extinguishes candles and fans a fire.

Francois de la Rochefoucauld

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.  Whether it is friends or something like electricity, when we don’t have it is when we find just how much we appreciate it.

Absence sharpens love, presence strengthens it.

Thomas Fuller

To show appreciation for what we have in our lives everyday is something we often forget.  We shouldn’t wait till friends or family move away to think about how much we appreciate them.

Live in appreciation for everything always.  Take time every day to show your appreciation and gratitude, before time makes you appreciate what you had .

Love reckons hours for months, and days for years; and every little absence is an age.

John Dryden

I liked that poem Friends Forever Near and also your thought of taking time to appreciate friends here and now rather than after they move away. Friends definitely are needed to help one get through life; we do need to cherish their friendship and do what we can to preserve it.

I enjoyed the read. I especially like the thought that we meet many people by chance BUT I do believe SOME are SENT our way (to stay)

Beautiful day for a day out!

I agree to appreciate what we have each day..instead of after it's gone.
