Chapter 11, Page 3, Book 15

Where There is Love
Helen Steiner Rice

Where there is love the heart is light,
Where there is love the day is bright,

Where there is love there is a song
To help when things are going wrong…

Where there is love there is a smile
To make all things seem more worthwhile,

Where there is love there’s a quiet peace,
A tranquil place where turmoils cease…

Love changes darkness into light
And makes the heart take wingless flight

November 3rd - putting things right

The right mixture of caring and not caring - I suppose that's what love is.

James Hilton

 To put things right:

 1. To make something the way it should be; make it right.
2. To fix what went wrong.
3. To make amends.
4. To correct mistakes that happened.

How do we act justly, love mercy and walk humbly – we keep putting things right.

How do we love our neighbor – we keep putting things right.

How do we serve the last, the least and the lost – we keep putting things right.

Pick up litter, clean graffiti, be a listening ear for someone who is heartbroken, hold an old person’s hand, weep with those who weep, say hello to that person you know is lonely, help people out of poverty, ask someone how they are, give some money away.

Nobody has the power to make things perfect but everyone is given countless chances to make things right.

I like that last quote; so true we have countless chances to make things right. Every little bit may help for somone, we just never know util we go out and at least do something.

After listening to a sermon in which my friend and pastor said, "You cannot be right with God and not right with man" If there is a problem with your fellow man, 'Make it right!"

I went home and wrote two letters, ones that I knew I should write. One was gracious, te other I never heard from, but I felt like I had made it right!

Good entry, and necessary!
Sunny day here in Florida..

Even if the other person doesn't respond...WE have made it right in our hearts, and in God's sight.
Wonderful post.
