Chapter 11, Page 23, Book 15

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something.
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations.
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge.
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary.
It means you've made a difference.
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

November 23rd - When we make love the foundation of our lives, we discover gratitude at the center.

Gratitude helps us recognize our blessings in life and not take them for granted. It helps with healing and is associated with better health outcomes, including positive mood, better self-esteem, improved well-being

Gratitude is a feeling and an expression. It is an acknowledgement that we have received something of value. It gives us a positive perspective, turning unpleasant things into reminders of what is important.

Gratitude makes us nicer, more trusting, more social, and more appreciative.Gratitude reduces feelings of envy, and makes our memories happier.

Bless the Lord, O my soul...

Often, it takes a serious illness or other tragic event to jolt people into appreciating the good things in their lives. Don't wait for something like that to happen to you.

Gratitude starts as a choice, becomes a pattern and can end up transforming our lives. We are only in this life for a short time. With intention we can learn to use gratitude to make each moment a wonder.

It’s a nice reminder, especially after the tragic human events in Paris , that family, friends, and loved ones are what matter. We may love our houses and the things that are in it…but it’s the spirit and the love that make it a home

Gratitude is a twofold love -- love coming to visit us, and love running out to greet a welcome guest.

It is always good to live a life of thanksgiving and gratitude and not just in the month of November but every day of the year. I've said it before many times but we have so much indeed to be thankful for!

Yes, it does often take a tragedy to open out eyes. But Thankfully our eyes are opened.
I love the last quote! It sets the stage for our Thanksgiving coming up!
Love from the land of Disney...
Headed for Georgia tomorrow!

Great post as always Ma. I went shopping yesterday and bought a ham I have a turkey breast in the freezer I bought last week. I'm undecided to fix both for thanksgiving or just one since we want be having many people here. The temperature got down here in the low thirties last night. We didn't have any frost because the grass is still green. Take care. Jean

Jilda's yoga class tonight was based on gratitude. Even in this wacky world, we have so much to be grateful for.
