Chapter 7, Page 7, Book 15

Nurturing a feeling makes it proliferate. Choose wisely. Joy, kindness, love, and caring will illuminate your life.

 Amy Leigh Mercree

July 7 -  Love is a flower, It takes gentle nurturing.

To nurture love, we need to give joy, be compassionate, and create peace.  Peacemaking doesn’t involve having all the answers. It doesn’t mean taking control of a situation and mastering everyone involved. The first step can often be just a simple boost by saying ‘You’re doing great. I’m proud of you; hang in there'.

Even if we have no other wisdom to offer, a few genuine encouraging words can defuse a tense situation. It can soften hearts and start people on the path to reconciliation.

Your hopeful, peace filled attitude can be contagious, don’t be afraid to pass it on.

Nurture your mind with great thoughts for you will never go higher than you think.

Disraeli

It is true that a few encouraging words can be uplifting and can also perhaps calm a situation. Sometimes people just need to know someone cares about them and just need someone to listen to them. So true that love needs to be nurtured by compassion, etc.

I can remember a lot of folk for negative noises, but YOU really remember the ones who were able to say the uplifting things when you most needed them
Sweet entry.

I am taking these words to heart today, because someone in my family really needs this, "a few genuine encouraging words can defuse a tense situation. It can soften hearts and start people on the path to reconciliation."
