Chapter 6, Page 6, Book 15

Love is lived and expressed in the errands, tasks, and chance meetings that fill each day

Hugh Prather

June 6th - love is sweet

You can't touch love, but you can feel the sweetness that it
      pours into everything.
Annie Sullivan

If there are two words that are thrown together often, they're love and sweetness.

Love makes everything sweeter.  If there is anything sweeter than to be loved, it is loving.

The little things that make life sweet are worth their weight in gold. They can't be bought at any price. And neither are they sold.

Estelle Hoover.

It’s the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary.  I believe this to be true and have experienced it with my own family.  When I think of the times where we laughed the most or had the most fun, it was when we were doing simple, everyday things like swimming in a pool, taking a long walk, combing a beach for shells, playing a board game, or sharing a meal.

I’m a firm believer that it’s the little things that make life sweet.  If you count every little happy thing that happens in a day, each day ends up sweet or semisweet, or maybe even bittersweet sometimes, but there’s always a hint of sweetness.

The more we focus on what is good and right in our lives and in the world, the better and sweeter life is

Little Things
The little things make life worth while,
As we travel on our way;
It’s the kindly word, and cheery smile
That makes the happy day.
It’s the helping hand, the word of praise,
That lightens the weary load;
It’s the light we put in the dullest days
That helps us along the road.
It’s the little things we do that count,
Like fixing the broken toy;
It’s the cup we place beside the fount
That brings some fellow joy.
It isn’t the gold or silver we give,
That mends the broken heart;
It’s our inner selves, and the way we live,
That play the biggest part.

I love The Little Things poem. It is so apropos. Also think your keen observation is true. "It’s the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary."

Ahh, now you have that song going round in my head, "Little Things Mean A Lot", in the 1950's Methinks it was Patti Page. (smile) Yep, in life it is the Little things added together that makes it SWEET!

How true! Part of a project I'm working on urges us to find a photo of ourselves appearing really, really happy. Initially, I've begun looking at staged photos at formal events ... missing the mark altogether. You've just given me a new direction!

I too agree it is the simple things that often give us the best and biggest pleasures in life.
