If you do what you love, it is the best way to relax.
June 13 - love relaxes
Isn’t summer supposed to be footloose and fancy-free?
There is a disease called Being Busy, that takes a lot of fun out of a peaceful summertime day. Busyness and stress can heat up quicker than the summer sun. But it is possible to stay cool on the inside. We can let our overheated minds cool down by focusing for a while on our hearts and their capacity for love, courage, appreciation, wisdom and connection.
Remember to : Enjoy, Relax and Prepare
Enjoy the outdoors. Spending time in the fresh air is good for you. We all need to do something for ourselves every day. It could be as simple as ten quiet free minutes doodling or enjoying a glass of iced tea. Make some ‘me' time.
Relax and Laugh. It’s the best medicine. It helps relax the heart, and adds to your enjoyment of life. Remember too that good night’s rest can lower your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It’s the time when your body’s cells repair the damage from the day.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail! Always be prepared for the day ahead. I’ve found that the best way to do that is to spend some time each week to plan what you want to do and need to do. Whether it’s food or a beach towel, you can be prepared for what is coming.
The picture today is of 2 of my grandsons, I call them the sunshine boys, because they always have lots of wonderful smiles. They are on a road trip winging their way to Ohio.
It’s summertime and the living is easy…
