Chapter 6, Page 1, Book 15

Life is not a game of Solitaire; people depend on one another.  When
one does well, others are lifted. When one stumbles, others also are
impacted.  There are no one person teams—either by definition or
natural law.  Success is a cooperative effort; it’s
dependent upon those who stand beside you.

Jon M. Huntsman Sr.

June 1 - dependable love

After many years of living by alone, I have come to know the value of having someone at your side .  Thankfully I do have friends and family that lend a hand when needed and that are always there to support me.

From our first breath, mind, body and soul were nourished by the family and friends that touched us.  Imagine what it would be like to reach your ultimate goal and have no one there to share your triumph and success. The thrill of such celebration means so much more when it’s shared with those that are most important to you.

We depend on others to love and nourish us, we cannot do it all on our own.  On the opposite side of that we cannot let others rule our lives to the point that we don’t enjoy life without them.  It takes a happy balance of give and take to make us whole.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

The opening line by Huntsman is eye opening. Then you wrote:
Imagine what it would be like to reach your ultimate goal and have no one there to share your triumph and success******************
That is something we cherish.
The ending by Nightingale I must like, he is one of my favorite modern day 'philosophers'.

We have sunshine in the mountains...

That is so true with that quote that life is not a game of solitaire. We do need people to do life with, to help us, encourage us, love us, etc., and for us of course to do the same to others. Even if we are very independent people, we still cannot do everything ourselves. I think that's a good thing, makes us depend on others and others to depend on us :)

So true. It would be a lonely life if solitaire was our whole life. So grateful for family and friends, near and far.

It is so sad for those without a support system. This quote brings it home, "Life is not a game of Solitaire; people depend on one another."
