Chapter 5, Page 31, Book 15

A well kept garden filled with flowers
Has no room left for weeds to share;
The mind keeps out unworthy thoughts
When loveliness is dwelling there.

May 31st - love in mind

A life without love is like a year without summer.
 Swedish Proverb

 The challenges we face only have the power we give them. None of us are born with a guidebook that provides explicit rules for thought and behavior that will enable us to navigate life successfully.

Life is full of unjust situations that create a great deal of pain for you, especially in your relationship with other people. You will experience some hurt and pain, but you don't have to allow these experiences to destroy your happiness. You can't always choose what happens to you, but you can choose how you respond to it.

Choose to learn from the hurtful experiences instead of wasting your pain by allowing them to make you bitter. One way to do this is to overcome evil with good by making sure you don't hurt others. It's a good place to start!

Life is a growth stage we're all going through.

Want to see a miracle? Plant a word of love heart deep in a person’s life. Nurture it with a smile and a prayer, and watch what happens!

Max Lucado

 I remember love is all there is and love grows as I pray for others.

I like that "Happiness is Always an Inside Job." That is so true; we can have those difficult situations in our lives like you mentioned, Ma, but we have the ability to either grow from them or have them take us down. Definitely prayer for any situation always helps :)

You've identified one of my greatest struggles ... allowing some of life's challenges to grow like weeds in my mind's garden. For instance? Running to the internet this morning to diagnose my symptoms, and scaring myself to death in the process (lol).

Love Max Lucado's quotes!

That last quote is wonderful, indeed. It will be put on my fridge so I see it everyday.
