Chapter 3, Page 7, Book 15

Lose no time.

Matthew 5:25

Tomorrow we turn our clocks ahead one hour and Spring Forward !  Little do we realize the importance of one hour of time.  We’ll go to bed and wake up to find an hour of our precious time has disappeared.  They say that in the realm of things we need to do this, but somehow I feel cheated out of an hour that could have been spent lovingly with others.

I really don’t want to miss any minute of my life, but I need to remember that today is what matters !

Realize the value of time. Time in perspective.

Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day.

What would you do?
Draw out every cent, of course!
Well, everyone has such a bank. It's name is time.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the records of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the tomorrow.
You must live in the present on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember, time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

That was a good analogy about the time when we think of it as deposits daily into our bank. Like we try to spend our money wisely, we must do the same with time :)

This is a great analogy!
Since I feel most optimistic and 'receptive' in the early morning, I'm going to print it right now and paste inside the door of my medicine cabinet.
Have yourself a beautiful day, OK?

Great analogies today.
I am not a fan of time change, but I live with it with out complainging too much.
Once in the fall we got the kids dressed for church and headed out. NO ONE THERE! It took a few minutes to realize we were an hour early!.

Time waits for no one it is true. I love the quote you made, "The clock is running. Make the most of today."
