Chapter 3, Page 4, Book 15

Winds of March, we welcome you,
There is work for you to do.
Work and play and blow all day,
Blow the Winter wind away.

March 4 - love the truth

The only way to speak the truth is to speak lovingly.

Henry David Thoreau

Loving someone and having them love you back is the most precious thing in the world, and it should be expressed as such.  When we truly love someone, we should be loving in words and deeds every single day.

So often we speak to serve our own interests. We want others to hear our opinions. We want to air our own advice. We are eager for others to see things our way and laud our insights. Remember that it's not genuine love if we refuse to speak the truth. Often times I'm afraid we use love for people as an excuse not to deal directly with a problem.

Our attitude toward one another should reflect the fact that we want to help, not hinder.  Avoiding the truth, you will get neither comfort nor peace nor truth, only wishful thinking to begin with, and lasting regret in the end. A wise man once said, I tell the truth because it’s the easiest thing to remember.

It’s not so much what you say but how you say it that counts.

Best way to clear the air is to have it all out in the open.

Harper Lee

That Harper Lee quote sums it all up, "Best way to clear the air is to have it all out in the open."
