Chapter 3, Page 26, Book 15

Our sense of wonder is a blessing from God, given so that we would be continually amazed at His beauty and creation.

Ravi Zacharias

March 26th - the wonder of love

Ultimately the love can become so big
that we can love the whole of creation
instead of
‘I love this but I don’t like that.’

 George Harrison

Never lose your sense of wonder

Look at everything always as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time: Thus is your time on earth filled with glory.
Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

Some junior high school students were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what they considered to be the Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt’s Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Grand Canyon in Arizona
4. The Panama Canal
5. The Empire State Building
6. St. Peter’s Basilica
7. China’s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn’t turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, Yes, a little. I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.

The teacher said, Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.

The girl hesitated, then read, I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:
1. to touch…
2. to taste…
3. to see…
4. to hear
She hesitated a little, and then added…
5. to feel…
6. to laugh…
7. and to love.
The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.
May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful – and we don’t have to travel anywhere special to experience them.

The pictures today are just a few I've collected over the years of some of the wonderful sights I've seen.  Right now the weather is still chilly and there are no leaves on the trees as of yet, but Spring is definitely here.

Enjoy your gifts!

I agree with the young girl. I think these "Seven Wonders of the World 1. to touch… 2. to taste…3. to see…4. to hear
5. to feel…6. to laugh…7. and to love."
are more important than any others. What a lovely story.

With TT, yep, an AMEN!
As I sit here I think of the modern wonders also. YOu put this on a world wide net this morning. someone in japan or Africa could be blessed. Even if they did not speak English with one click they could have it translated.
I sit here in our motor home and with no wire connection, read this out of the air, is that a wonder or what?
THANKS for a kick start this am.

I liked the picture of the sun shining through the trees :)

So true some of the best wonders are the things we don't have to travel far to see, often within our own home and family!
