Chapter 3, Page 10, Book 15

March 10 - love brightens any day

When you give away some of the light from the candle,
by lighting another person's candle there isn't less light
because you've given some away--there's more.
That works with love, too.

Every Day Can Be A Starting Point: Make a New Beginning

While we can’t always control the things of life that impact our day, we do have a choice. If you’re in a tunnel of discouragement, keep walking toward the Light.

I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.

Og Mandino

You can add to the light of the world, simply by spreading the light within yourself.  If you really want to brighten someone's day, do the unexpected. The effect could last a lifetime.   It's not hard. Little things truly can go the longest way.

All it takes is a tiny bit of thought and a little effort. Little things like finding a person you can thank or compliment for something they did a long time ago.

Everyone appreciates, no, everyone loves, to be remembered.

When I look out at the people and they look at me and they’re smiling, then I know that I’m loved. That is the time when I have no worries, no problems.

Etta James

Our candle may flicker, but it will not expire!

When you see a person struggling, give them hope. Let them know you see something in them that they don't yet see, even if, sometimes, you don't yet see it either.

Belief, founded or unfounded, is incredibly powerful and when someone else believes in us, it's unforgettable.

There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.

Edith Wharton

Sending sunny thoughts to brighten your day !

A smile can brighten the darkest day.

So true, Ma, that we can help spread the light with our actions towards others. And you are right, it doesn't have to be a lot, but something simple as a kind word or a big smile! So cute pictures of your grandchildren; they certainly spread the light I believe!

Amen to Betty's comment.
I also liked the idea of every day can be a STARTING point.

I enjoy smiling at someone who looks like they are 'down', when they change expressions and return the smile, my heart leaps. I love it.

Love those two cutie-pies pictured at the end. The quote that has the most significance to me today is the one by Og Mandino; "I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars."
