A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. It is our misfortune that for most of us that clear eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood.
Februay 9th - fresh love
A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
The quotes above may not seem to be a good mix, but they both make good sense to me. No one or no thing does well without some care. If we want fresh lettuce, we have to nurture it and it’s the same with love. Love of all kinds, not just romantic love.
In today's world, it is all too easy to neglect and take for granted those who should be the most important to us. Keeping love fresh does not happen by accident!
We can refresh our love of things and of people if we take the time to care. When the lettuce gets soggy it can be refreshed when we rinse it in cold water. Same with anything in life. Refreshment renews our hearts and souls.
I say I get refreshed every week by spending an hour in church. Our friendships are refreshed when we spend some quality time together.
Remember: Praise is such a great gift, and it's so easy to give. As we reach out to another, our own needs for fulfillment and love are met. Give seven or more praises for every one fault finding suggestion. Begin fresh in every moment. Take time for what you love and keep the love fresh.
Love and eggs are best when they are fresh.
