Chapter 12, Page 27, Book 14

December 27th The Third Day of Christmas

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself…

Norman Wesley Brooks

Christmas is, and has to be, more than one day in our life. Whatever direction, meaning or purpose in life we gain from Christmas day, and, however we interpret its message of peace, joy, and love between people and the Creator, we have to live this out from day by day, even on those days that we may have a hard time doing it.

We don't get turkey every day. We don't get presents every day. But we can live in the spirit of Christmas, as we interpret it, every day of the year, if we decide to.  There is always more to be unwrapped and received. Imagine that!

Oh, why can't every day be like Christmas Why can't that feeling go on endlessly. For if everyday could be just like Christmas What a wonderful world it would be.

You are so right about this, "We can live in the spirit of Christmas, every day of the year, if we decide to." If only more people did.

I want to live every day this coming year in the spirit of Christmas. As well I want to make 2015 a year of giving and living joyously no matter what life brings. Hugs

I like the quotes, but today I like your words best. maybe not presents and Turkey, but we can live in the spirit of Christmas.

I do want to live in the spirit of Christmas into the new year. Our church did a campaign for Christmas time to raise money for different projects to help people with housing. The theme was pray boldly, give generously, live radically; I want to carry that into 2015 and beyond :)
