Chapter 12, Page 1, Book 14

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

E. M. Forster

Like instant coffee and high speed technology we may expect everything and every person to bow to our control, but in vain. Advent is a time of waiting patiently. Life is all about waiting.

If one of us were to calculate a life’s time of waiting, I can’t imagine what that would be. Just the thought of it is overwhelming, tiring.  Time spent waiting for something, someone. Time that could be better spent. Waiting, the time in between what is now and what is to come.

When we have to wait our priorities become clear.  Waiting is the perfect remedy for those things that have no place in your life.  Given time, temporary things will drop out of your life effortlessly, leaving you free to focus on that which is truly you. Time has a beautiful way of sifting the important from the fluff.

When it comes to waiting, we have a choice: we can try to bypass the delays and inconveniences or embrace them as our greatest opportunities for growth

Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art.

I know I've become more patient over the years, but it is still hard to wait, especially waiting upon answering of prayers, but then it is always good to know God's timing is always right, not matter how long the wait :)

You describe life well. It does pay to know how to WAIT.
We are over cast here, and patiently waiting for our time to walk (smile)
