Chapter 11, Page 22, Book 14

Be grateful for the kindly friends that walk along your way;
Be grateful for the skies of blue that smile from day to day;
Be grateful for the health you own, the work you find to do,
For round about you there are men less fortunate than you.

Be grateful for the growing trees, the roses soon to bloom,
The tenderness of kindly hearts that shared your days of gloom;
Be grateful for the morning dew, the grass beneath your feet,
The soft caresses of your babes and all their laughter sweet.

Acquire the grateful habit, learn to see how blest you are,
How much there is to gladden life, how little life to mar!
And what if rain shall fall today and you with grief are sad;
Be grateful that you can recall the joys that you have had.

Edgar Guest

Being grateful for the joys we have had in our lives, makes getting through the tough times much easier.  That is one reason I try to celebrate every day and make some new memories to have in my storage bank of joyful days.

Every day may not be a good one but there is something good to be found in every day!

Today I’m Thankful for :

2243. for family to visit and a trip to take today
2244. for DD and her hubby who will give me a ride, once again
2245. for DS#6 and his wife who will be our hosts today

Have a wonderful visit with your family. Gobble! Gobble!

I like that Edgar Guest poem. It is good to be grateful every day and I know you do a great job at that, Ma! I know you are grateful for the time spent with your family today! Enjoy!

I always find a jewel here. This is a good place to do mining. It doesn't take long to discover a jewel, among good stuff. This says a BUNCH:

Every day may not be a good one but there is something good to be found in every day!

Ain't it the truth.

We have a beautiful day here, overcast but warm.

For spending time with close friends today, always a pleasure and for clear skies and sunshine.
