Chapter 11, Page 15, Book 14

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.

Oprah Winfrey

We all have choices to make every day and I’ve found that choosing to be thankful has made a real difference in my life.

You can choose your attitude, your perspective, your response, your actions and your outlook. Feel your purpose and in every matter, in every situation, make the choices that express that purpose.

I have learned to be content with what I have.   I have so many blessings in my life.  Who could want for more.

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something.
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations.
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge.
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary.
It means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

Today I’m thankful for:

2222.for recycling and reusing, which makes this world a better place
2223. for a warm home, it is appreciated this time of year
2224. for plenty of clothing to layer up with

Whatever happens, you have a choice. Use that power of choice now, and again and again, to make life rich and truly fulfilling.

Ralph Marston

I liked that Be thankful poem; so much to be thankful for in our lives; we just need to focus on that more than complaining and not being content indeed!

Love the poem, especially this line... "Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?"

Love the poem, and I'm thankful that at my age, I'm getting around and doing well. It is cold here in south Alabama, but it feels good after all that hot weather we've had.
