Chapter 11, Page 14, Book 14

Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel.

Author Unknown

Prayers of thanksgiving make up a big part of all my daily prayer times. I thank the Lord for all the marvels of His creation and love. I praise Him for this vast universe and this beautiful planet he made as a dwelling for us.  I’m very thankful for the people he has put into my life too.

Prayer of Gratitude to God

Father, dear Father,

I am so grateful for everything that you have given me.
Thank you so much for the loved ones in my life,
For the many ways in which I am cared for and supported.
Thank you for the many ways I can serve and give to others.
Thank you for the rich tapestry of colors in creation,
For the beauty which is all around me,
For the skies and the ever changing cloud formations,
For the breathtaking sunsets and early morning mists.
My heart is so grateful and brimming with thanks.
I could write a thousand books about your great goodness,
And still have many stories to tell.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I thank you with everything I am.
All my being cries thank you Lord!

Amen.

Author Unknown to me but today I’m echoing this prayer.

Expressing gratitude to God gives shape and substance to my daily prayer. It fills me with joy, binds me to God, and carries me through hardships. Those are big benefits for just saying thanks.

Today I’m thankful for :

2219. for my blessing list that keeps growing every day
2220. for laughter, the best medicine
2221. for answered prayers, my niece is recovering nicely

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

I had to smile at the first Quote referencing Hemming. That is something my mama would have said.
At times I think you knew my mama, y'all have the same 'Thankful attitude'.
Once My daddy said to mama, "You could find something good to say about the devil."
Mama quickly said, "He does work hard!"

That is you and mama.

I am glad to hear your niece is recovering, Ma. That is good news. I liked that gratitude prayer. I am trying to be more grateful in my life. I am sure God appreciates when we are thankful for what he has given us.
