Chapter 11, Page 11, Book 14

Today is Veterans Day in the United States, a day when the whole country recognizes the important contribution of our military men and women.  Some who served did not come back home. Some who served came back, but radically changed. But all who served did so, not just to fight in wars, but to make this a better world. Even in peacetime, the work of our men and women in uniform goes on and is no less important.

Veterans Day is a time to be thankful for the men and women who have served or serve in our military.

This month is a good time make an extra effort to pray for peace in the world, especially today,  November 11th.

Take time today to thank our Veterans and pray for those who serve this country and us selflessly, sacrificing things we can’t even imagine. Thank you all.

Today I’m thankful for:

2210. for all our Veterans, they do so much
2211. for patriotic songs, I do love them
2212. for a couple of warmer days, the cold stuff returns tomorrow

None of us got to where we are alone. Whether the assistance we received was obvious or subtle, acknowledging someone's help is a big part of understanding the importance of saying thank you.

Always thankful for those who serve, have served, and grateful for those that were willing to lose their lives for our freedom. Glad there is a day to honor them and recognize their services! Our church did a remembrance of veterans on Sunday which was very touching and moving.
