Chapter 10, Page 6, Book 14

What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.

George Eliot

Life as we know is a cycle of beginnings and endings. Some are huge like marriage, a new job or moving home. Many are quick like a shopping trip or reading a book.

Time keeps rolling on and nature moves with it too. The colors of autumn are filling our landscape, that is all part of nature gently moving into the cycle of slowing down and letting go.  Truth be said if I slow down much more, I won’t be moving at all.

Every beginning is a consequence — every beginning ends some thing.

Paul Valery

It can sometimes be good and healthy for us to close the door on some things in our lives, such as mistakes, regrets, and guilt.  Letting go of those things is always a good thing.

It is even healthier to welcome today as a new beginning. It's not about making it perfect or having everything just right. It's about doing my best and being open to the blessings that will come my way.

Every day is an opportunity to make a new happy ending.

I like that, Ma, each day is an opportunity to make a new happy ending. So true! You are right, sometimes we do need to close the door of some things like regrets, guilt, etc., and move on to enjoy the wonderful life we have been given.

I like the idea, you suggested that we start at the end. Very interesting to think about.

We all love new beginnings and happy endings, just sometimes we forget that many times it is we, who decide the Happy ending.
