Chapter 7, Page 17, Book 14

Life is like a bar of soap, once you think you’ve got a hold of it, it slips away.

Life is exceedingly brief. You might feel like there’s a huge mass of time ahead of you, but it passes much faster than you think. Your kids grow up so fast you get whiplash. You get gray hairs before you’re done getting your bearings on life. Appreciate every moment.

Either you let your life slip away by not doing the things you want to do, or you get up and do them.

Roger Von Oech

Do less. Most people try to do too much. They fill life with checklists, and try to crank out tasks as if they were machines. Throw out the check lists and just figure out what’s important. Stop being a machine and focus on what you love. Do it lovingly.

Life is like a wet bar of soap. If you hold on to tight it will slip. When you just let it rest on the palm of your hand and you are relaxed, then the bar of soap won’t slip. Just relax and life wont slip away from you.

Slow down. Rushing is rarely worth it. Life is better enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

Live life to the fullest, it's the only one you get.

Slowing down is just what I did when I retired. I don't like all the hurry up of todays society. Everyone seems to be on the fast track to nowhere. Blessings

I liked that line "your kids grow up so fast you get whiplash". That is so true! Never thought of life as a bar of soap; cute one!

This one is sorta cute, but sure brings out a lot of truths. You gotta like this one. Thanks, everyone can relate to the slippery soap!

I absolutely LOVE that first quote, "Life is like a bar of soap, once you think you’ve got a hold of it, it slips away." So true.
