Chapter 6, Page 26, Book 14

Just living is not enough.
One must have sunshine, freedom,
and a little flower.

 Hans Christian Andersen

The rest of summer, the rest of my life

To truly treasure and value each day

In today’s world everyone seems to lead such busy lives and no one can do everything at once. So it’s best take the time to think about your long term values before you make a decision about where to focus your energy.  The most important things in my life are my faith, my family and my friends.   These are the things that I focus on.

Thankfully we only get one day at a time to do what needs be done and when we take life one day at a time by not worrying about the past or the future, we find more time to put what we value in place.

The sunlight that awakens me on a summer morning is bright and encouraging. Its radiance beckons me into a day of unending possibilities and keeping that in mind I remember that each and every day is like a bright summer day in which all things are possible.  Not just summer days, but every day of the year.

Apparently there is nothing that cannot happen today

Mark Twain

Seems I have been worrying too much about the future. I need to focus on today and leave the future up to God. Thanks for the reminder. You always seem to post something that brings me back to God and reality. Thank you. Blessings

I like how you described the sunrise that awakens you, Ma! Good reminder to live one day at a time and not to worry about the future.

One day at a time is all we really have. Love the Mark Twain quote at the end of your post.
