Chapter 5, Page 22, Book 14

Expect to have hope rekindled.
Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways.
The dry seasons in life do not last.
The spring rains will come again.

Day 33 of 50:  Cast out Fear

The emotions of worry, doubt and fear take away all the joy from your life.  I’m one that doesn’t like to waste a moment of JOY so I did a little research on how to over come your fears.  I already had a thought in mind as an answer, but I wanted to see what others thought too.

One article said we must confront our fears and not avoid them.  We should meet them head on.  Another said to live in the present moment.  Focus on what is happening right now and take it one day at a time, one moment at a time if necessary.

I always try to remember the words in the Lords Prayer, especially the line that says, give us this day our daily bread.  I think that means we should live one day at a time and trust in the Lord for supplying whatever it is that we need for each day.  And that means getting through any fear filled moments too.

I let go of my fears and trust in the Lord.  Letting go and trusting are two very important ways to get rid of fear.

Not all fears are bad things.  We need to be fearful at times.  It makes us cautious and keeps us away from dangerous things.  But to live a life of fear robs us from what we’re meant to enjoy.

Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy.

Dale Carnegie

I John 4:18 says that perfect love casts out fear. If you're afraid of facing a person or a situation in your life, God's love can help you put your fears to rest. Remember you are never alone and He is more powerful than anything you could possibly encounter.

Today I’m thankful for:

1691.  for DS#4, it’s his birthday today
1692. for good food to share and to eat
1693. for good times with family and friends

Though things may not always go your way, life can always be good and fulfilling. Because you can always choose, with your thoughts, your attitude and your actions, to make it that way.

I think living one day at a time is a good motto.

I tend to be fearful at times so this was good to read on ways to try to overcome it, but indeed living one day at a time is a wise thing to do, since we never are guaranteed another.
