Chapter 5, Page 14, Book 14

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.

Jimmy Johnson

Day 22 of 50:  Seek to live more fully…to be extraordinary…we need to do these things that make our hearts sing.  We need to allow the spring of our joy to feed the reservoir of life.

Did you know that being grateful can increase your happiness level by 25%? Being grateful can change peoples lives.  It changes our mindset from focusing on what we have rather than dwelling on what we are lacking.  The kind of life we live today and tomorrow are a direct result of our thoughts and our words we speak.  Thoughts are so important because thoughts lead to our attitudes and feelings, and attitudes and feelings lead to what we say and the actions we take.

One of the many things I’ve learned in life is the fact that God loves to put a little extra into the ordinary things.  Those every day happenings we all experience are truly things to be thankful for.  He takes an ordinary day and puts a little extra into it.  Remember:  The more we’re thankful, the more we’ll have to be thankful for.

Taking time out to count your blessings each day and being thankful for them, makes you see the extra ordinary in each day.

Today I’m thankful for:

1667. for the beautiful lilac bush in my backyard
1668. for hope that never ends
1669. for another full moon, I’ll be hoping you all see it too!

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.

I love the last quote you have on your post, especially this part, "Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens." Very true.

That was an interesting statistic, Ma, about being grateful can increase one's happiness level by 25%. A simple thing of gratitude can do that much! I need to learn to be more grateful, so always glad when you talk about it here :)
