Chapter 1, Page 8, Book 14

Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it.
Fyodor Dostoevsky

I recently wrote that I live life the fullest when I live day by day.  Taking what each day has to offer and appreciating all the good things in it, savoring every moment is when you find out just how much you have.  And in order to experience and benefit from what we have, we need to let go of our need for more.

Having enough, is a mind set, a feeling  of happiness, eagerness, and joy and you can tune into it at any time of the day.   One of the biggest lessons I've learned is how the spirit of gratitude can positively impact your life.  When you are grateful for what you have, you find out just how much you truly do have.

Every day is a day to be thankful. Life's abundance has no limit, and gratitude is what keeps that abundance flowing.

Not what we have But what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.

J. Petit-Senn

methinks you are right, having enough is a mindset.

Love hope you are warming up.

I think it is a great idea to count joys rather than troubles, and I know you do that with your counting of things you are thankful for, Ma! And yes, having enough is indeed a mindset, which is sometimes hard to reach these days all the ways we are bombarded with advertisements to accumulate more!
