What ever we claim as treasure in our life is where we put the bulk of our time and energy. We let go of some things in order to have the time and energy to spend on what is important to us. The choices we make each day are based upon what we treasure.
The treasure doesn't follow our heart; but rather, our heart follows our treasure, whether it be a career, a family, or a large accumulation of wealth in the bank.
The things we treasure most over the years are often the small simple things. What matters most is often the attitude of our heart. The little things we do for others and that they do for us. The kindness and cheerfulness shared day after day.
To me, there is nothing sadder than a person, or a married couple, or some group of people, who think that a pile of money in the bank is a great accomplishment in life.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:20
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.
To provide with an incentive; move to action; impel. One of the ways I'm often motivated to do something is by forming a thought in my mind and envisioning it as a reality. A vision is an inspired idea. You know very well when a vision hits you, by the energy and excitement you feel. It's a feeling that gets you charged and keeps you going. The very thought fills you with energy and positive feelings.They give us a goal to aim for and an something to live for.
I can imagine that there are no limitations on what I can be, have or do.I can vision an imaginary ideal life. Then I realize all that I'd need to do in order to make those visions a reality. Sometimes I think it is not worth the work involved. Other times I put my all into it and make my dreams come true.
Another way I'm motivated is by the visions of others and that is the way it is with my painting. I need to find a picture or a pattern in order to do what I do. I'm not really good at all in forming my own art, but am thankful that there are many Decorative Art and Tole painting books available.
Visions of Spring are in my mind. I'm planning a grand family gathering when Easter comes and I am motivated right now to get a lot done. Little by little it will all be done in time. My painting project is just one of the many things on my list to do. Hopefully, as Easter comes and goes I'll be able to show all the things I've done.
Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
When I try to look into the future, which isn't often, one thing that really stands out here at my house is money. I always have to plan ahead when it comes to spending. I know that I need to set aside some each month for future expenditures that I know will be coming. I think we all have to do that in one way or another.
But there are a lot of others things we can do each day that will help to make all our tomorrows better. Rest and relaxation has always been a top priority to me. I've seen first hand what stress can do to people, so I've learned that to be a better me, I have to take care of myself and that begins with some good R and R.
We also have to nurture our relationships with others. Letting others know just how much they mean to you on a regular basis is a must.
And when we remember to count and give thanks for our blessings every day, we are assured there will be many more to come.
The best way to predict your future is to create it.
There are victories of the soul and spirit. Sometimes, even if you lose, you win.

I've had to struggle over a lot of things in my life. I haven't always won the fight. Once in awhile I win the battle, but more often than not, I lose. I have found that sometimes though we lose, we can feel good about it. Winning isn't everything. It's often how we played the game that matters. The game I'm talking about is the game of life.
We often forget that the game isn't always about winning but about learning lessons that build up the wisdom bone If we pause to remind ourselves of the peaks and valleys of life, we can develop a positive outlook with faith.
We all enjoy winning, the problem is that there is very little in life where everybody wins. Sometimes it is just the will to win that matters.
Blessed are those at the end of their rope because they can be tied to God

I don't know about you, but I've been at the end of my rope, barely hanging on, many times in my life. The wonderful thing is that I'm still here, and more than that I still have everything I need. No more, no less.
It's well known that many never take the time to pray unless they need something. To me prayer is a part of my every day life. I pray in thanksgiving and I pray in time of need and for the needs of others. Some days it seems I spend the whole day in prayer. Thanking the good Lord for so many things!
I have endured many things in my life. With the help of the good Lord, I'll be able to endure many more. Right now I'm enduring the seeming never ending winter here. But I know that Spring will come!
There could be worse things, so I'll just count my blessings and be happy!
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Every morning, I take a few moments to breathe in deeply and slowly exhale. As I repeat this process, I can feel all the tension and uncertainty melt away. I relax my neck, shoulders, arms and my entire body, all the way down to my toes.
I may be surrounded by the demands of family, work and routine, but as my mind lets go, peace fills my soul. This a a practice I started doing before my morning prayers each day. Doing so makes me feel the love of God and I seem to relax in the truth that all is well.
When you start the day off right, the rest of the day is filled with promise and possibility.
Find the time in each day to see the beauty and love in the world around you
People with a strong sense of gratitude, love and appreciation don't necessarily have more than others; they aren't any luckier. They simply recognize and see more beauty in their lives.

Not controlled by obligation or the will of another:
By cutting the cords that no longer need to be there, we can set ourself and others free from the ties that bind. Freedom increases my appreciation of who I am and the boundless blessings in my life. I say boundless because there just seems to be no end to how many blessings one person can receive in life. One of my blessings is freedom. The freedom to be who I am and do what I like to do.
Someone once said that we are free when you control yourself and don't try to control others
By realizing the uniqueness of who we are, we can all find that freedom. If we can let go of comparing ourselves to others and stop trying to be something we are not. we can relinquish any thought of waiting for life to begin.
Free from what others think of me, free from feeling like I always have to please other people.
This day's going to be a one of a kind. 'Cause it's my day and there's only one me!
Whatever our hands touch We leave fingerprints! On walls, on furniture On doorknobs, dishes, books. There's no escape. As we touch we leave our identity. Wherever I go today Help me leave heartprints! Heartprints of compassion Of understanding and love. Heartprints of kindness And genuine concern.

To reach out and touch someone is a well known phrase meaning to make emotional contact with another human being. I think we all need to touch and make human contact with each other. No one can be whole without that touch. From new born babes to the elderly, we all live better lives and thrive with the touch of another person.
The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.
Having qualities that delight the senses, especially the sense of sight. Excellent; wonderful.
Beautiful is a word I use a lot. There are many beautiful things and people in this world. I have even called some foods beautiful now and then. I think that anything that leaves me with a feeling of awe is what I call beautiful.
Fold ingredients gently into a bowl. Mix vigorously and add a few tears. You'll sweat a little as you knead the dough.
Pack it firmly between your hopes and dreams and form into a perfect little ball.
Sprinkle it with a little faith (I recommend Hebrews 11), rolling the ball in the flour until fully covered.
Place it under a veil of belief and allow it to rise.
Put it in an oven that has been pre-set at the perfect temperature for the heat of trials and tribulations.
Allow it to brown under the warmth of God's love. Remove after due season and allow to cool in the confidence of His promise.
Garnish with your praises. Arrange neatly on a platter of thankfulness and serve to friends, families and, oh yes, strangers . . . invite them too!
Pass on the recipe to all who request it and let them know that with this recipe, they have the makings of a miracle!

A miracle is an event attributed to divine intervention. Alternatively, it may be an event attributed to a miracle worker, saint, or religious leader. A miracle is sometimes thought of as a perceptible interruption of the laws of nature.
I believe that miracles happen every day of our lives. Life is a miracle in itself. You and I are miracles. The sun comes up and the moon comes out. The earth spins on its axis and we have a brand new day every 24 hours. The seasons change. Nature runs in its perfect cycles and we don’t have to do anything except appreciate it.
I always like to think of the miracles that happen every spring when the tulips pop up through the ground after being frozen away underground every winter. The buds pop out on the trees and everything starts to grow once again.
I've seen things happen that can only be described as miracles. I believe in big miracles and keep on giving thanks for the little ones too.
