Chapter 4, Page 3, Book 13

No Winter lasts forever, no Spring skips its turn.  April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it.

 Hal Borland

a declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something specified

Spring is here and although it still seems like wintertime more days than not, we remember that warmth and sunny days will return...they always do.

As April has arrived, I'm hoping for the promise to be fulfilled.  The only March lamb that I saw at all was the one that sat on the dining room table when we had our family Easter celebration and that was made of butter.

April in Ohio usually means lots and lots of rain.  Rain is good, it's better than snow in my books and it'll make the grass grow and the buds sprout and bloom.

Very often the only bright thing in April is the blooms in the yard.  Thankfully, they are colorful.  I'm very weary of white.

Promises do come true!  Believe it or not.  April is here.

Spring is God's way of saying, 'One more time!'

I have seen the "lamb butter" but I bet you never saw a cake shaped like a lamb. Growing up my grandmother would always order a lamb cake from the local bakery for Easter Sunday. Haven't seen one of those in over 50 years. Blessings

I have to chuckle about spring not missing it's turn. Sure feels like it from here. Never saw lamb butter.

It's been a bitter March and looks like being a bitter April too Ma.Snow Snow and more Snow.We have seen the sunshine today, the first for quite a while, which paints a whole new picture,it was lovely. Those bleak winds have been a nightmare for weeks now. Many farmers have lost all there sheep and new born lambs, burried under deep snow drifts.Such a shame and very sad.Lets hope spring arrives soon.Take Care God Bless Kath xx

Ablolutely love that Hal, quote.
Promises seem to get less important to the generations that follow.

But a promise is sacred!
(HUGS) maybe I am about back on course.

April showers bring May flowers - love the saying - Spring is God's way of saying one more time.

My mom used to say that springtime here in Atlanta - was not a season - it was a blessing.
