Chapter 4, Page 18, Book 13
Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
WORD FOR TODAY:
Truly what something is said to be; authentic
real and honest
Tragedies and disasters affect each and every one of us. Genuine feelings of pain, fear and hurt are felt by each and everyone of us no matter how far away or unconnected they may be.
It seems that each day something happens around us that brings genuine tears to our eyes. We are stunned and feel bereft. One thing I know, maybe two, is that we cannot live our lives in fear. To have genuine happiness we have to have faith that although every day can't be good, there is some good to be found in every day.
Years ago I read a story about how we are all on the same boat, what one man does affects us all. A hole at one end of the boat will sink us all. We are all in this world together.
No matter how well prepared we are, no matter how hard we try, things are not always going to go our way. Real life is not about having all we want or doing everything we want to do. There are events that will get in the way.
I can only hold on to my faith and make the most of what I can each day. The rest is out of my hands. We can each of us, share a loving and positive word of encouragement to those around us each day. Genuine thoughts of concern and prayers help others more than we know.
There is always a right time to show love to others. To care and share makes all the difference.
Spread sunshine by giving someone a genuine compliment today,
with all the sincerity that you can, and watch the magical results!
