Chapter 3, Page 6, Book 13
The cure for all the ills and wrongs, the cares, the sorrows, and crimes of humanity, all lie in that one word Love. It is the divine vitality that produces and restores life. To each and every one of us it gives the power of working miracles, if we will.

TODAY'S WORD: Heal
to make sound or whole
to restore to health
Love is by far the best medicine for whatever ails you. It even tops laughter which is said to be the best medicine.
I think that if there is love in your life, you'll also have lots of laughter in it too. Just like the contagion of laughter, when one person feels loved, others catch that spirit and the love spreads
It seems to me that when we can calm our minds, we can heal our bodies. To be loved gives us that calming effect. When all the stress of life is put aside because you have someone that cares, it calms and heals.
Stress is a terrible thing. I know just how much damage it can do to a person. I've seen it over and over. Disease can come to the body by dis-ease of the mind. Our immune systems are greatly affected by what we think.
Researchers have found that have found that intense feelings of romantic love affect the brain in the same way drugs like powerful pain relievers do. When we are nurtured and loved we feel our best.
Some of us just need to remember what love feels like in order to feel better. There are many kinds of love. Love of a spouse, love of a friend, love of family, love a pet, and even love of food. We all know how good we feel when we have a little comfort food. The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience. Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around.... Throughout history, tender loving care has uniformly been recognized as a valuable element in healing.
