Chapter 2, Page 3, Book 13

It Takes Time
Unattributed

We need to take time to work because it is the price of success.

We need to take time to think because it is the source of power and the key to making good decisions.

We need to take time to play because it is the secret of youth, and a life of all work does make a person dull.

We need to take time to read because it is the foundation of knowledge.

We need to take time to worship because it is the highway of reverence and washes the dust of the earth from our eyes.

We need to take time to help and enjoy friends because our friends ultimately are going to be a major source of comfort and happiness.

We need to take time to love because it is the sacrament of life that might be the most important--and yet the most missed--element in our lives.

We need to take time to dream because it is the foundation upon which hope is built.

We need to take time to laugh.  Laughter has been called the music of the soul.

We need to take time to plan.  It's the secret of being able to have time for the first nine things.

The word for today is:

Relax

to make less tense or rigid : slacken
to make less severe or stringent : modify
to relieve from nervous tension

Relaxation can come in many forms from taking a coffee break to taking a vacation.   But it is very important in our lives.  Relaxing is good for the body and good for the soul.  For me winter days from January thru March consist of a lot time for relaxation.  It's a time to rest and recover from the previous season . Lots of plans are already being made for Spring so I'm taking time to enjoy this winter break.  There's no need really to go any place.  The comforts of home cannot be beat when it comes to relaxation.

Relax, it's winter, Spring will be here soon!

I like that it takes time; so many good things we need to take time for like reading, laughing, worship, planning etc.

I like the word of the day with relax. I'm planning to do that in a few minutes with a little rest before the Super Bowl game :)

So tell me - we have so much to do in life - each day - do you think that we have enough time to do the things we need to do...
