Chapter 12, Page 22, Book 12

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord

Luke 2:10-11

Saturday December 22nd: JOY

Joy is awfully hard to come by these days, particularly with all the bad news.  It seems much easier to find things to bring us down than to lift us up.

Did you know that here are more words for joy and rejoice in Hebrew than in any other language.  In almost every case, the definition includes the superlative, exceedingly.

So it’s not just being happy.  It’s being so happy you can’t contain yourself. Exceedingly joyful.  So, as we celebrate the Joy of Hope fulfilled this season, be thankful in all things.  Even in the bad times, be thankful that you are still breathing.

There is always, always something to be thankful for.

In God our hearts rejoice.

Psalm 33:21
