So true Ma that we need to leave room for fun times and down times. Its a good habit to get into and to cultivate to take time to rest and have fun and laugh indeed! May you have a great day today enjoying your R and R!

Thanks for lifting my day higher. I hope your day climbs to greater heights as it progresses.
Our last day in the home area, taking the older son and family out for dinner. I EXPECT a great day!!!

Love from here we are a fraction cooler. Supposed to be good traveling.

I sure am enjoying my time off at home. I do get my chores done so as to not be lazy but....I do make time in my day to have fun....blogging, facebooking, reading...and it is so good that I enjoy doing laundry and cleaning b/c even when I work around here it's not so much of a chore but a labor of love. The balance comes for me, working outside the home. I have to make sure this time to find something that is going to work better for me. But I think that is going to be hard to find. Hope you are keeping cool!

I agree, we all need to schedule time for fun.

I'm relaxing this Sunday with a good book.

Hi Ma. There is lots of great advice here, lots of wisdom too. I think all your readers will relate to this post. I think we all have a tendency, especially as we get older, to lose the art of having fun. I'd never make it through a day if I didn't do something I enjoy doing. For too many years I'd be working in my house nonstop, doing things that could have waited. Guess we get a little wise as we age. Thanks for the love and support. I so treasure you.

Gee whiz! I posted two fairly good sized paragraphs and it didn't post. Oh well. What I said, my sweet friend is that I think all your readers can relate to this post. I think as we age we seem to lose the art of just having fun. Too many of us take ourselves and life too seriously. There is, as always, lots of wisdom in this post.
Thank you so much, Ma, for the love, friendship and support during this difficult journey. It is such a blessing to have friends in your corner, people you know genuinely care.
Love you much.

Great post Ma. One thing I have to say that I always do no matter how busy my life gets is to laugh and have fun :)

You didn't mention in you comment at my blog if there is anything you collect. Let me know!

In total agreement. My pleasure of the morning was my iced coffee and a bagel. No rush and some quiet time with the newspaper. Have a sweet Sunday!

LOL very sage words as always! I feel like all I've done is R&R during this recuperation, but am looking forward to getting back to real life. Thanks for all your visits. HUGS!

TAKE back the FUN in your LIFE. I LOVE that philosophy. You are so right MA about folks doing things that they think needs to be done instead of choosing things that they enjoy. You know what they say about "All work and no play."
Take care.
