SUPER Saturday/ Super Family
A lot of what I write about is about my family. Being part of a family is a great blessing. Your family can provide you with companionship and happiness. This basic unit of society the family is supposed to strengthen and protect us. We are supposed to delight in each other, spending time together whenever possible, right? Well, yes. But families are made up of imperfect mortals, each with her own history and experience, each with his own personality and expectations.
These are stressful times for most families. Today’s families face abundant emotional and economic challenges. While families are meant to be havens of peace and safety, they can often be cottages of conflict where members are simply worn out and angry
The importance of family life cannot be overstated. I read an article that stated that researchers have identified the following nine strengths: love and appreciation, time together, encouragement, commitment, communication, adaptability, faith, connections, and clear responsibilities. These strengths suggest important guidelines for any family to follow in creating the kind of family life they want.
While my family isn't perfect by any way or fashion, I know that my life wouldn't be the same without them. Our family get togethers are often the highlight of my days.
We are who we are. The fact that a group of family members makes the effort to gather together in the first place is by itself an indication of love and desire for a relationship
The saying goes that you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. Spend your life showing those you love that they will always have their family no matter what happens. Not everybody is born into a family they love and adore. Still, It's key that you have people in your life who you love unconditionally—meaning you accept the good and the bad. Whether or not they are immediately related or not, your loved ones are what really matter.
A close family bond is like a safe harbor where we find refuge.
Have a SUPER Saturday everyone!
