Chapter 7, Page 17, Book 12

A smile costs nothing, but gives much
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it usually lasts forever.
None are so rich that can get along without it
And none are so poor but that can be made rich by it.
It enriches those who receive, without making poor those who give
It creates sunshine in the home,
Fosters good will in business,
And is the best antidote for trouble
And yet it cannot be begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is of no value
Unless it is given away.
Some people are too busy to give you a smile,
Give them one of yours
For the good Lord knows that no one needs a smile so badly
As he or she who has no more smiles left to give.

TERRIFIC 2's Tuesday / Smiles and Rain

Every day is a new beginning. Every day is full of activities we do. The weather is an important factor in our everyday life. The weather either limits us to do some things or helps us to do what we planned. Sometimes even the weather can change our mood. The weather has an important role in my mood and in my every day activities.

Right about now there are a whole lot of people either wishing it would stop raining or start raining.  I know some friends in England that are sick of rain and others in Missouri that would love to have some rain.  Many are not SMILING at all due to having too much or too little rain.

Weather can make us smile or cry depending on how it is effecting us.

I live in a place where drought is not a problem, yet anyway, but many are really suffering.  Last year we had a terrific amount of rain all year long, but this year, we've had enough to just to keep things growing here.  A good rain would be appreciated but we have reached a stage where it is vital to the growing season quite yet.

So today I'm sending you all some SMILES and some prayers too for those who are enduring the weather this summer.  May the sun shine upon you who need it and and for those that don't, may it gently rain on your fields.

That's my two for this Tuesday,  Smiles and Rain

I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

I LOVE smiles and I appreciate everyone I am given.
I like the statement you have here, if someone doesn't have a smile give them one of yours.

That is classic. Love it.
have a good day, headed for Gettysburg today!!!

Always will take a smile from you Ma!! I do hope the drought does lessen in certain parts of the country; we live in a dessert so we barely get 10 inches of rain a year if we are lucky, but for those who are used to a lot of rain, I'm sure it has to be hard to see things drying up, etc. Glad you guys are getting some of the rain needed!

enjoy your Tuesday!
