Chapter 7, Page 14, Book 12

Life is like a box of chocolates. Each chocolate is like a portion of life. Some are crunchy, some are nutty, some are sweet, some are chewy but all are delicious in their own way. Without each one, life would not be complete.

It's SUPER  Saturday

If everything was exactly the same, life would simply be dull and boring. There is such variety in every community. Like a box of chocolates we all have our own likes and dislikes. Even when there are only a few left to choose from, we are often tempted to lift the layer and take one from underneath! The same goes with people. We are all so different, so unique and because of this so special.  Like a box of chocolates, we are limited if we're just one on our own.  But if that one becomes part of a bigger team, then there are endless possibilities

One thing I know for sure is that we all need each other.  A person can not live a full life when they keep to themselves.  Of course there are times that we need to be alone, but not all the time, not every day.

Sharing our life with others makes life worth living.  I love spending time with my friends.  They come from varied background and have lived lives totally different from mine, yet each time I get together with them, I learn something valuable and new.  We don't try to be like each other but enjoy the differences in each other.  So many times I've been thankful for a different way of looking at things.  I get a new perspective when someone explains things in a totally different way.

Remember this:  God loves you...He mad you exactly as you are, on purpose, because He wanted you that way.

Sharing our own uniqueness can be a gift to others too.  It's grand when we can share a smile, kind words, or a hug with others.

Have a SUPER Saturday everyone!

Lovely words today. I like the 'life is like a box of chocolated' Allegory. A couple of years ago I discovered a chocolate I really liked so got a whole box of them. I quickly tired of them and can hardly force myself to eat them any more. A rich variety whether in chocolates or friends is much more pleasing.

I like the reminder you said about how God made us the way we are, Ma. Sometimes we think we want to be like this person or that person, but God individually uniquely made us to be who we are and we need to appreciate that indeed!

May it be a great day!
