Chapter 4, Page 25, Book 12

There is a great deal of poetry and fine sentiment in a chest of tea.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

As I've been up to my neck with lots to do around my house this week.  I thought that it was time for a break today.  So I'm sharing a few quotes about tea with you all.

Tea, especially iced tea in the summertime, is 2nd only to my good cup of morning coffee here at my house!

Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company.

Drinking a daily cup of tea will surely starve the apothecary.

Chinese Proverb

If you are cold, tea will warm you.  If you are too heated, it will cool you.  If you are depressed, it will cheer you.  If you are excited, it will calm you.

Gladstone, 1865

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.

Henry James

Remember the tea kettle - it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings!

Tea is my drink of choice. Grew up with it and LOVE it now. Unfortunately it ends up taking a back seat to coffee in today's world. So I loved your little tribute to it. Made me smile. I've been fighting the new BLOGGER format. They switched it over, now I am having trouble accessing my blog friends blogs. It is so frustrating. Think I'll have some raspberry tea and relax. Take care.

I'm a coffee girl...one cup each morning with sugar & milk...but my daughters drink tea all day long. I like CocaCola with lunch & supper. ((((~~TEA is good for you because when cold, it warms you ~ when hot cools you ~ when depressed cheers you ~ and when excited calms you.))) ~~kinda paraphrased what Ma said about tea...and feel like making me a cup of tea...right now....(just to celebrate! ~ Ma's post today from ~~Gladstone 1865 ~ Jean(Rome Georgia Girl living in Calhoun)
