Chapter 2, Page 10, Book 12

The Meaning of True Love

It is sharing and caring,
Giving and forgiving,
Loving and being loved
Walking hand in hand
Talking heart to heart,
Seeing through each others eyes
Laughing together
Weeping together
Praying together
And always trusting
and believing
And thanking God
For each other...
For love that is shared
is a beautiful thing...
it enriches the soul
and makes the heart sing

FANTASTIC Friday/ Fantastic love

Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action—true love.

Love is the greatest gift God ever gave man.

I think there is a remedy for most diseases. There is a tonic that makes you younger. There is a heavenly substance that makes you more beautiful and more creative. There is a universal essence that creates within you the spirit of dedicated hard work and selfless giving. This life’s tonic and essence is true love

I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.

Nicholas Sparks

Have a FANTASTIC Friday everyone!

PS.  I thought you all might like to know that our weather man says that Spring has arrived in the Florida Everglades and is moving northward at the rate of 15 miles per day!  Good news I think!

What wonderful words from Helen Steiner Rice and Nicholas Sparks. I have read all of Sparks books. Interesting that you said we shouldn't think of LOVE as an emotion. I have to wrap my head around this thought. Sounds like an idea whose time has come. Take care. PS) I hope the weatherman is right.
