Chapter 12, Page 18, Book 11

When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo,the star, which they saw in the

east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his

mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their

treasures, they presented unto Him gifts:  gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Matthew 2: 9-11

HOME AT LAST

The Nativity set is finally complete as the wise men enter the scene and have taken their place.  They searched for a long time and never gave up, and when they saw Him, they knew! They had found the Messiah!  We must persevere. They followed a star that stopped at Jesus and then it stood still over the place where the young child was.

Let us see if we can GATHER WISDOM FROM THE WISE MEN.

These wise men, with all their mystic learning were not ashamed to rejoice because a little star lent them its beams to conduct them to Jesus. They were at ease and full of joy and when they saw the child they worshipped.

I have placed my 3 wise men by the Nativity set on my table here, but our Little Lord Jesus is not asleep on the hay just yet.  He's hidden out of sight till Christmas morning.  When the babes were young it used to be very exciting seeing the baby appear.

The Nativity set will remain up here until January 6th, 2012 when Epiphany is celebrated.

Hopefully all the joy of Christmas will last the whole year through.

Hope your Sunday is filled with lots of that good R and R that we all need in order to be the best we can be.

It is wonderful that you do this every year. It is particularly sweet that you add baby Jesus on Christmas Day. I saw this little video the other day on this very topic. You might find it interesting.
