Chapter 9, Page 24, Book 11

For A Reason
 author unknown

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. Sometimes things happen to you and at the time they may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential strength. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

I know you all have probably seen FOR A REASON many times and so have I, but every time I read it something else seems to pop out at me.  Appreciating every moment is what caught my attention this time.

Today I'm at my camper, a place I love to be, but will I appreciate the moments spent at home in the cold and bitter days of winter???  It is often a challenge for me to even think about those days that will surely come.  They always do.

For a reason, a season or even a life time there are precious moments in every day.  We just sometimes need to take the time to look for them.  Anything and everything we do can be made more pleasurable too, if we take the time to make them so.

So often it is our attitudes that determine the day.

Hope your day is a great one!  Take the time to make it a SUPER Saturday!

I hadn't seen this before, Ma, so I am glad you shared it! I like that to appreciate every moment! That is great advice for our lives especially that we may never experience that particular thing again!

I hope you enjoy your camping weekend!

AMEN and AMEN!! I needed to be reminded of this today. Thanks for always giving a word of encouragement. Have fun at the camper. Not many days left before you won't be camping anymore this year. Hugs

So true. I'm trying to appreciate the turn of the seasons today, too, and not bemoan the end of summer. Here's to every season of our life!

I had never heard this before. The words were poignant. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you are enjoying your camper before the first snow flies. Unfortunately, it'll be here sooner than we think. In the meantime let's bask in the joy of autumn leaves and pumpkin pie.
