TERRIFIC 2'S Tuesday
BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE
Sometimes life puts us smack in the middle of mountains where the rock is too heavy to move, too big to jump over, and much too hard to handle. I call it between a rock and a hard place.
Have you noticed how significant stones are in the Bible? They were used to build important structures like; altars, temples, memorials, walls, and boundary stones. God used them to mark or define places and events where He did or said something significant in the life of the believer. And they were also essential elements used to maintain peace and to protect life. Stones were indispensable for relating with other people and with God.
Stones are hard and heavy. They are very tough things that must be handled correctly and appropriately placed. They are often difficult to move, awkward to manage, and challenging to position. And they can be painful too; toes can get smashed, fingers crushed, and blisters can quickly form. But they are also solid and durable, and when done right, the structures are lasting and significant.
So the next time you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, remember that it might just be a stone that God wants to use to shape something significant in your life
The drops of rain make a hole in the stone not by violence but by oft falling.
Lucretius
Your rocks are simply those obstacles that appear to be in your way: pain, suffering, beliefs, programming, old stories, doubts, fear, worry, judgment, chaos. Moving them can sometimes be as simple as changing your beliefs.
Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.
Josh Billings
Perseverance overcomes almost everything. When you fall, perseverance tells you to get up. When you’re defeated, perseverance tells you to try again. When you feel like quitting, perseverance doesn’t let you
Persevere and move those rocks...those are my two for this Tuesday
Have a TERRIFIC Day!
