Chapter 8, Page 20, Book 11

1 Corinthians 13:4

People say patience is a virtue. I agree with this. Having patience is a good part of someone’s character. Not everyone has patience. Some people get angry and frustrated quickly. They can’t wait. If you have no patience, you want everything to happen right now.

Did you know that the greek word for patient means taking a long time to boil?  If you turn up the flame on your burner, water will boil faster.  If you turn down the flame water will burn slower.  Patience keeps the flame low.

It waits and it listens. Before you boil over, listen up.  Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? ... Then pause, wait patiently, listen again.

We become more patient as we get older. Perhaps we learn how to be more patient. In today’s world, you really need patience because we expect everything to happen straight away and often it doesn’t.

Life demands patience . . . and lots of it!

So on this SUPER Saturday be patient with others and be patient with yourself too.

Patience is a virtue.

I love this...patience keeps a low flame, it waits and listens. I had to learn patiences when we adopted our kids with disabilities. They taught me so much about it and I'm so glad they did. I still struggle at times, yet it's their struggles that made me who I am today when it comes to patience. Wonderful post. Hope you have a super Sat. Hugs

Again, good words.
We try to remember Love is patient, sometimes it is rough. I too often expect immediate miracles.

Love ya!

I agree you become more patient as you age. I certainly have. Being patient has never been one of my strong points. I'm usually anxious and want things to happen imeadiately. Good post. Have a nice evening.
