Chapter 7, Page 7, Book 11

Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

THANKFUL THURSDAY

This week I'm very thankful for joyful summer days filled with radiant sunshine

For the 4th of July weekend which was a wonderful one spent at camp feasting and visiting with family.

For morning walks...I need exercise and with the cold of winter and the rains of spring I haven't got much, but finally we've had some beautiful days. And I have been walking.

For summer vacations. Our family is going to get together next week to celebrate DS#2's retirement from the military. He's much to young to retire from all work, but this phase of his life is over and he'll be starting a new job and a new way of life after well over 20 years.

For all the great things growing in gardens this time of year. We are blessed over and over again with fresh fruits and vegetables. The taste and the variety is wonderful.

For the opportunity to help people celebrate the joyful moments of their lives ... In the summertime we have permission to slow down and be in the moment with family

May your day be filled with joyful moments.

'On Ya' - ma

Thursday resolution: Let the beauty you love, be what you do.

As ever, thankful for my blog friends and for health, country and family. Best wishes to DS2 as he moves into this new phase, and many thanks for his sacrifices for all of us. Have a terrific Thursday.

how exciting for your son to be retiring from the military! A job well done!! And it is neat for him to be young enough to move on to another career/job that he will hopefully enjoy. Getting all together to celebrate it, I'm sure you are excited about that!! Good for you too with the walking, wonderful exercise! I know even in bad weather, when we lived in Montana, people would go to the local malls that were opened early (not the stores, but the mall itself) and walk around it. Anything to keep the muscles moving!

great thankfuls for this week indeed!

Summer days and the great outdoors. Who could ask for anything more. Glad to hear you are walking. Before my knees got bad I used to walk 4 to 6 miles a day. Now I can hardly move my legs. So I have adapted to a more sedentary life. Congratulations to your son. Have a wonderful celebration.
